Hi folks, I know it’s been a while since I’ve updated. I just wanted to inform all of you that I have found the perfect lace Monique Lhullier dress at Vows! It is a v-neck with an alencon lace overlay and a silk charmeuse lining. Oh, yeah – it also retailed for six thousand dollars! I payed less than half of this cost at Vows! I wish I could show you the gown, but unfortunately they remove the photo from the website immediately after it is purchased. My gown is being cleaned (a service they offer free of charge) and I have made my appointment with their seamstress across the street. Can’t wait to have it fitted.

I browsed the site at her suggestion, and was just as impressed. What a great selection! I made my appointment to take a look around the first chance I got. They were very accommodating, as I do not have the most flexible of schedules. Stay tuned for the update on the appointment!

Hi, all! Here is my update on my experience at the Vows Bridal Outlet in Newton. I had scheduled my appointment for yesterday, and came in with my list of favorites from their website. It is helpful to be prepared when looking for a gown at their store, because they have rack upon rack of selection! Their store is divided up according to skirt style. They even have a rack of new arrivals that are COUTURE-level high end. Yes, this means that some of these gowns retail for upwards of six thousand dollars! However, you fashionistas can rest easy because Vows is a discount store. I have been shopping around Boston, and have found current styles for so much less than their original retail price tags. My mother is out of town and would be heartbroken if I made the final decision without her, so I have made another appointment for later in the week. Take a look at some of my favorites (photographs are on their website) from this time around!

I have to rave about this website to everybody. I am not one to purchase clothing online – and especially not the most important dress of my life. This website however is for the Vows Bridal Outlet in Newton which is about a couple of cities over from where I live, so I was able to browse their inventory. I have been dreaming of a lace gown for as far back as I can remember. However I’ve learned that it is easy for lace to look cheap unless you are willing to dig into those pockets. I am short on cash enough as it is. Aren’t we all nowadays? But I digress. I logged onto this website and GUESS the designers that were there. Vera Wang. Monique Lhullier. Platinum from Priscilla of Boston. Kenneth Pool. But that’s not the best part. These dresses are samples, so that means they are 50 to 75 percent off the retail price!!! I was staring at the computer screen with every mouse click thinking, are you KIDDING me?? Needless to say, I have signed up with them on the site and have printed off a list of my favorite gorgeous lace Moniques. I HIGHLY recommend this site (www.bridepower.com) – and if you have a chance to visit their store, you should. I already made my appointment.
