A wedding topper is one of those things that people sometimes put on top of their wedding cakes. The overwhelming majority of them are either a little statue of a man and woman getting married, or some kind of floral pattern.
Many people don’t quite think the norm, so they’ll go way off the beaten path and come up with something unique. There are companies that can cater to that kind of creativity, and other companies that have already created some wedding toppers that are extraordinary that people tend to go for.
For instance, one company makes a whole series of bird couples of all types of birds and colors. Most of them are standing next to each other, but they also make some where the happy couple is sitting in a nest, giving the sense of being at home.
Another company makes a series of different types of robots. Some of the robots are thin, while some are pretty big robots. Some of the robots look like robots, while others are at least mechanical in nature.
Something strange is that many young couples seem to have an affinity for zombies. Personally I absolutely hate zombies, but these couples like mixing black and white in different ways. And some of these couples decide to go all out and actually dress as zombies for their wedding, which is definitely something much different.
There are a series of wedding toppers that make people think they’re zombies, but actually they’re traditional wedding toppers for Mexico’s Day of the Dead holiday. The tradition of the holiday is to think about all family members who are no longer here, and many couples like getting married around that time of the year, which is in December, to give honor to their past family members.
One company came up with a unique wedding topper concept. What they do is scan a picture of each spouse, then somehow transfer the image onto the heads of the wedding topper so that it’s actually them on top of the cake. Every once in awhile, they change the topper up to reflect a favorite hobby of each of them, or maybe blends both of them into one thing important to both of them.
Wedding toppers can be almost anything, but it’s neat when you can spice up your wedding cake with a fun and fancy one. And you get to take the wedding topper home with you, since you get to keep the top of the cake. That would be quite an interesting memory, wouldn’t it?
